The Beavers are in the Emerald Bowl!
Oregon State University Director of Athletics Bob De Carolis formally accepted an invitation for the football team to play in the 6th annual Emerald Bowl in San Francisco.  The Beavers will play the University of Maryland Terrapins of the Atlantic Coast Conference Fri., Dec. 28 at 5:30 p.m. at AT&T Park, home of the San Francisco Giants.

Here's a schedule of events during the busy two days of bowl activities:

THURSDAY, DECEMBER 27

Pep Rally (11:30 a.m. - 12:00 p.m.)
Located at Union Square. Listen to the bands and coaches. Help cheer the team on before the big game on the 28th.

Emerald Bowl Kick off Luncheon (12:00 - 2:00 p.m.)
This is a great opportunity for fans to interact with the players from both teams as they celebrate their seasons and their selection to the Emerald Bowl. The luncheon will be at the Westin St. Francis. Cost is $75. The Emerald Bowl has a limited number of tickets to sell for this event. Beaver Sports Talk Radio Show (7:00 – 8:00 p.m.)
There will be a special Beaver Sports Talk radio show live from Gordon Biersch in San Francisco on Dec. 27 from 7:00-8:00pm. Mike Parker, Jim Wilson, Bob De Carolis, KPAM 860's Ron Callan, FSN’s Todd Mansfield and Steve Preece will headline the show. Show will air across the Beaver Sports Radio Network. Fans are encouraged to get to Gordon Biersch early. There will be no regular Tuesday Beaver Sports Talk due to Christmas.

FRIDAY, DECEMBER 28

Community Service Project with Ed Ray (9:00 a.m. - 12:00 p.m.)
Join OSU President Ed Ray for a Bay Area community service project. Help fight hunger in San Francisco by sorting and packaging food at the San Francisco Food Bank. For more information and to sign up visit, www.osualum.com/volunteer.

Official Pre-game Tailgater (2:00 p.m. - 5:00 p.m.)
Oregon State knows how to celebrate! The traditional tailgater event will feature great food, the OSU marching band, beverages, and plenty of orange and black. Join us on the waterfront at Pier 48 adjacent to the AT&T Ballpark. Pre-registration is now closed. Walk-in admissions will be available at the door.
