A. "Tips for a healthier you" : Kathy Gunter, assistant professor of nutrition and exercise science in the College of Health and Human Sciences will share practical tips for optimal health.
B. "Travel at a time of unpredictability at the pump" : With more than 15 years of work for AAA Oregon/Idaho, John Porter is uniquely qualified to share his forecast for gas pricing and analyze what it means for travel and the economy.
Classes w/o Quizzes Session 2: 10:30 a.m. - 11:45 a.m.
A. Artisan cheese making": Explore the history of artisan cheeses and OSU's role in developing and producing some of the tastiest cheeses and the processes involved.
B. "Protecting your identity online": Every year millions of Americans are victims of identity theft. This presentation will explore popular ways thieves commit identity theft, how spam works, and the dangers and prevalence of online profiling.
Lunch and Speaker: 12:00 p.m. - 1:00 p.m.
Matthew Zedwick, OSU student, member of the Oregon Army National Guard, and Deal or No Deal TV show winner. Matthew has received a Silver Star and a Purple Heart and is currently a member of America's Army Real Heroes Program, which features his likeness on many popular video games and action figures.
Classes w/o Quizzes Tour: 1:15 p.m. - 3:00 p.m.
Tours of Sports Performance Center and Kearney Hall
Visit two of the newest facilities on campus. The tour will take you to the spacious, 20,000 square foot athletics Sports Performance Center. Next you will be bussed over to Kearney Hall, formerly known as Apperson Hall, and see the historic renovation featuring the latest in building monitoring and energy efficiencies.
