Description of organization/mission: Located on 300 beautiful acres outside of Corvallis, Oregon, the campus provides children with opportunities to experience healthy, therapeutic activities such as recreation, equine and canine therapy and cottage-style living surrounded by expansive green spaces. By combining scientifically based care that is individualized and family-focused with a treatment venue that is scenic and rejuvenating, the Children's Farm Home offers a place for healing that is unique among mental health facilities in Oregon.

Project Description:
Community Garden: Building wooden raised vegetable beds, tearing out and rebuilding counter slats for the greenhouse area, clean-up around greenhouse area, plant vegetable beds.
Therapeutic Horse Program: Replacing wire fencing, moving hay bales, fixing supports in riding arena, general maintenance of area.

Project location (address and any instructions regarding location or parking): Same address as above.  Upon entering the front entrance drive turn right and head to the south east corner of the campus, where the large vegetable garden is located.

Project Start/End Times: 9:00 a.m. to noon

Maximum number of volunteers for project: 50

Minimum age of participants allowed on project: 18 years (high school aged students okay if accompanied by an adult)

Do participants need to bring any materials (gloves, hand tools, etc)? Gloves if they have them, work clothing, sturdy shoes.
