THURSDAY, JUNE 3
Class of ’60 Golf Tournament: 8:30 a.m. Trysting Tree Golf Club Join us for a shotgun start at 8:30 a.m. This tournament will feature lots of fun, lunch, prizes and a commemorative polo shirt. Awards will be given immediately following the tournament. Deadline to register for the golf tournament is May 12th.
Wine Tour: 2:00 p.m. – 7:00 p.m . Join us for a special tour of local wineries, each offering their own unique perspective of Oregon’s blossoming wine industry. OSU faculty will discuss the wine industry and the agricultural impact it has on Oregon. We will visit Benton Lane Winery and Broadley Vineyard and then cap off the day with a barbecue at Tyee Winery. The afternoon will also feature a special stop at Hazelnut Hill. *** Meet at the CH2M HILL Alumni Center

Class Session #1: 10:30 a.m. – 11:30 a.m. A - The Truth About Vitamin E and the Linus Pauling Institute Dr. Maret Traber, one of the world’s leading experts on Vitamin E, explains how the antioxidant has been linked to new and powerful discoveries that will affect the way we live. Also, learn about new and exciting things happening at the Linus Pauling Institute including the new home for the institute that is currently under construction.
B – OSU and the Maraschino Cherry Conventional wisdom credits OSU with the invention of the maraschino cherry. Is this true or false? Ron Wrolstad ’60, retired faculty, will discuss the role of OSU faculty in making Oregon a major processor of maraschino cherries.
Luncheon: 11:45 a.m. – 1:00 p.m. CH2M HILL Alumni Center Hear from Dr. Tammy Bray dean of the College of Health and Human Sciences about leading a healthy lifestyle and what faculty and researchers at OSU are doing to promote healthy living.
Class Session #2: 1:15 p.m. – 2:15 p.m. A How Green are my suppliers? Suppliers provide essential materials and services and impact a company's core products. Increasingly, suppliers also have an impact on the green reputation of a business. The need to consider environmental impacts in the supply chain is growing, but improving the environmental performance of suppliers can be difficult and expensive. During this session, issues of green supply chain management will be explored and suggested strategies presented.
B The Cheese Stands Alone: The Science behind Oregon’s Acclaimed Artisan Cheeses Oregon wine is mighty fine, but, increasingly, no one does cheese like the Beaver State. Lisbeth Goddik, OSU Food Science and Technology, has helped the artisan cheese industry grow in Oregon through classes and her work in France with artisan cheese makers. Join this lively presentation on the science of cheese making and a discussion of why Oregon cheeses stand out in a crowd.
Tours of Gill Coliseum & Kearney Hall: 2:30 p.m. – 4:00 p.m. Kearney Hall, formerly known as Apperson Hall, underwent a historic renovation and re-opened in 2009. It features the latest in building monitoring and energy efficiencies. Next we will tour Gill Coliseum which is celebrating 60 years and a facelift. This historic building was restored to look much the same as it did when it first opened during the winter of 1949-1950.

Golden Jubilee Luncheon & Ceremony: 12:00 p.m. - 1:15 p.m. CH2M HILL Alumni Center Celebrate your reunion with other Oregon Staters. The Class of 1960 will be inducted into the Golden Jubilee Association during a special ceremony.
Campus Tours: 2:00 p.m. - 3:30 p.m. Enjoy guided bus or walking tours. Has the campus changed much in 50 plus years? You will see some familiar buildings and some new additions.
Banquet Dinner: 6:00 p.m. - 11:00 p.m. CH2M HILL Alumni Center Take a stroll down memory lane with your friends, old and new. Start the evening with a hosted social including beverages and appetizers, followed by a memorable dinner. Following dinner, enjoy fabulous entertainment for your dancing and listening pleasure. Social will include all the classes, seperate dinners for 1960, 1955, 1950 and 1945/1940.
